The European
Commission refers to the CE Marking of products as a
"passport" which can allow a manufacturer
to freely circulate their products within the European
marketplace. The marking applies only to products regulated
by the European Commissions health, safety and environmental
protection legislation (product directives).Since a
very important part of OCI’s business is in the
European Union (EU) member states - Austria, Belgium,
Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland,
Italy, Luxemburg, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain,
Sweden and United Kingdom, CE marking is helpful in
exporting goods there.
